POSITIVE PORTRAITS

POSITIVE PORTRAITS is a collaborative project between Mathilde Fenger and the Danish AIDS Foundation.

The goal is to break down the stigma and prejudices surrounding HIV/AIDS by giving a face to those living with the condition.

Through 12 paintings, Fenger conveys unique stories of strength, courage, and beauty, regardless of HIV status. The artworks are created to inspire dialogue, empathy, and a shift in society's perception of people living with HIV.

POSITIVE PORTRAITS is touring across Denmark and will be included in the curriculum of social and healthcare education programs.

The main sponsor of the exhibition is Gilead Sciences.

Additional sponsors include GSK, the Gangsted Foundation, and the City of Copenhagen.

The exhibition received the 'Art price' at The Danish Rainbow Awards 2023
